Angels We Have Heard on High

Second week of Christmas here at the Smith house has brought forth many favorite activities. The highlight - decorating for Christmas. Every year, my husband and the kids venture to the tree farm to chop down a tree while I stay home and decorate the house. Upon their return, we crank up the Christmas tunes, snack on pomegranate seeds and cheese and crackers, and totally deck the halls.

Pulling out ornaments and decorations from years past, I always delight in setting up my (five) nativity sets. As I set up each character of the Christmas story, I am reminded of the song Angels We Have Heard on High. The angels announcing the birth, the shepherds receiving the joyous news, and all of us are beckoned to come and see Christ the Newborn King.
