A gentle approach using Charlotte Mason tools to foster curiosity, wonder, and inspiration.

Engage 22 composers from medieval to present day through music stories and food.

Music Lessons:

  • listen to the composer's music

  • learn basic details about the composer's life

  • eat food from the composer's country of music

  • listen or read a living book related to the composer

  • put the composer in context of time and place through a Science, Literature, Art, Local History, American History, and World History that occurred during the composer's lifetime.

  • learn about another culture in the world through playing a folk game from that country

Connect a scientific discovery, piece of art, published literature, and local/American/world history event to the composer’s lifetime each week.  Lessons include topic summaries, read alouds from living books, video links, activities, and worksheets for elementary and middle school students.
