2021 Christmas Gifts for Music Teachers

5 ideas for the Music Teacher in your life

  1. Music Gift Card

Music teachers love to build and expand their repertoire. Instead of asking them if they need anything for their studio or would just enjoy getting some new “fun” music, why not get them a gift certificate so they can buy the music they need, when they need it.

2. Manicure Gift Card

music teachers use their hands a lot - whether through teaching or playing their own instrument. Giving a gift certificate to a music teacher so they can pamper their hands would be a delight to any music teacher.

Support a local nail salon with a gift certificate for a music teacher.

3. Hand Sanitizer

Music teachers go through A LOT of hand sanitizer, especially after Covid. Restocking their supply of hand sanitizer is a great gift idea.

Bath and Body works has a great selection of scented hand sprays. I am currently enjoying Eucalyptus Mint but the holiday scents look good too!

It’s also a good idea to have a pump sanitizer option. I like the Raw Sugar Peppermint + Sea Salt from Kohls.

4. Hand Soap

Just like hand sanitizer, music teachers go through a lot of hand soap. Try replenishing a music teacher’s supply with scented or seasonal hand soaps. There are many places to get soap, but I love to support small businesses through Etsy. Here are a few options.

Holiday scented liquid hand soap

With lots of young children in my studio, I LOVE having foaming hand soap available.

5. Hand Lotion

Notice a theme here? A musician will always want to care for their hands, why not try a nice lotion.

Bonus Gift: The 3 P’s

Practice - practice, practice, practice your music for your teacher

Perform - play in recitals, play at a nursing home, play for siblings/grandparents/aunts/uncles. Tell your teacher (or better yet, invite your teacher to attend) - I guarantee….they will love watching you perform!

Pleasure - ENJOY playing your instrument. More than learning the notes and the terms, your music teacher wants you to LOVE music and enjoy playing. If you get pleasure purely from playing your instrument, that is one of the best gifts to give your teacher!
